Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta" rose to #1 on the Modern Rock Charts in 1997. The band has just released their new album independently for FREE on the Internet via Bit Torrent,as well as their website. I sat down with founding member Jeff Lin last week in Seattle. Buy "Little by Little" at Harvey Danger Photo by Ryan Schierling.

According to Lindsay Lohan, Singer Songwriter Christopher Dallman is "Hot." This is the first, and probably the last, time I'll agree with her.

Otis Gibbs is an Americana treasure. His songwriting is simple and complex at the same time. I had such a great time talking to this kind man. The CBGB's of Indianapolis is a place called "The Patio." Sadly, it's closing it's doors and has asked Otis to be the last to perform before it does so. If you're in the area, don't miss Otis @ The Patio November 26.

Nashville's Sarah Siskind writes songs that bring me to tears. She wrote Allison Krauss's new single and Bill Frisell played all the electric guitars on her stunning album "Covered."

Strong content. This show is not intended for children under the age of 18 and may be offensive to Christians. The views of the artists on SMtv do not necessarily reflect those of SMtv or it's producer, however we respect their right to have them. Eric Schwartz is the very talented president of NERFA (Northeast Regional Folk Alliance).

Michael Neill. You can subscribe to his brilliant (and free!) weekly coaching tips by sending him an email at subscribe@geniuscatalyst.com or just visit his site www.geniuscatalyst.com I also played some music (not as much as usual, but hey...we had a lot to talk about)! I had to edit out 15 minutes of live music and chat because we went over time-wise. I really don't like having to edit, but I can't exceed 80 minutes for technical reasons. Boundaries suck. 1.
